Where do I take a pet at night in Da Nang?

To one of the three clinics listed as 24 hours: My Pet's 24H, Sông Hàn Pet or Geneva. Titi Pet Shop may also see animals at night, but call first. Save the numbers now, because you will not want to search at night. Geneva and My Pet's 24H are in Thanh Khê; Sông Hàn Pet is on the east bank of the Han River.

Can a vet come to my home in Da Nang?

Home visits are listed for Love Pet (Liên Chiểu district). Geneva will collect a pet on request, and My Pet's 24H moves animals with its Pettaxi service. Ask by phone about terms, cost and the area covered. If the animal is in a bad state, do not wait for a car: take a taxi with a carrier or a blanket.

What are the dog-walking rules in Da Nang?

Since 1 August 2026 a dog in a public place needs a muzzle or a leash with a person holding it; one of the two is enough. This is a rule of Decree 204/2026/NĐ-CP, valid across Vietnam, including Da Nang. Having neither is fined, as is missing a mandatory rabies vaccination.

Does my dog need a rabies vaccine?

Under Decree 204/2026/NĐ-CP, an animal that is legally required to be vaccinated against rabies and is not vaccinated brings a fine. Which shots your dog or cat needs, and how often, is for the vet to say: book at any clinic in the table, for example PAWS International or Ty Pet, whose cards list vaccination. Bring the vaccination booklet.

What do I need to take a pet out of Vietnam?

Exporting an animal needs a veterinary quarantine certificate, and the conditions depend on the destination country and the airline. The Department of Animal Health (Cục Thú y) lists a certificate procedure for exported animals, but its list has no separate conditions for cats and dogs. Ask a clinic and your airline before you buy the ticket, because deadlines depend on the country.

What should I do about heat and pets?

Never leave a dog in a car: the UK charity RSPCA says a hot car can be deadly. Heatstroke is a bigger risk for puppies, older dogs and flat-faced breeds. Signs include heavy noisy panting, weakness, red gums and vomiting. Move the dog into shade, pour water cooler than its body over it (not the head), call the clinic and drive in an air-conditioned vehicle. Walking in the morning or after sunset is easier on the dog.
