What this directory is
VietGid is a directory of businesses and independent providers in Vietnam. The information in each listing is gathered from open sources: company websites, maps, publications, registries. Every listing shows the sources it rests on and the date it was last checked.
How far to trust it
We check the information and show the date of the check, but we do not guarantee that it is accurate or complete. Businesses move, change numbers and close faster than any directory can notice. Call before you travel. The date on a listing is a date, not a guarantee.
Where sources contradict each other on a fact, we do not quietly pick the more plausible version: the listing says the sources disagree and asks you to call before you go. We publish no prices, reviews or ratings — prices change, and a review is something we cannot verify.
We are not part of your dealings with a business
The directory gives you contacts; it is not a party to any agreement between you and a business. We are not brokers or agents, we take no payment for their services, we do not answer for the quality, timing or safety of those services, and we do not settle disputes between you.
Advertising
Advertising slots are labelled as advertising. Payment does not affect the order of listings and is not a reason for a listing to exist: an advertiser goes through the same checks as everyone else. Advertising links carry nofollow sponsored. Terms for advertisers.
Links to other sites
Listings and source lists lead to sites we do not run. We do not answer for their content, availability or safety, and we do not track those clicks.
What the site counts
We count visits ourselves, on our own server. That count always runs and issues no cookie: your IP address is not stored, what is recorded instead is an irreversible fingerprint that changes every day, so visits on different days cannot be linked through it.
Beyond that the site has Yandex Metrica, which is there to show the search queries that bring people here: a query stays with the search engine and never reaches our server. Metrica sets cookies, so it loads only after you agree, and does not load at all if you declined or chose nothing. Declining changes nothing else on the site. What Metrica collects is not up to us: it is a third-party service, and the data goes to them.
Clicks on a phone number, messenger or website inside a listing are counted separately: they show how many people contacted a business from our page. What you then say to that business is neither known nor available to us.
If this is your business
You can ask for the information to be corrected or for the listing to be removed altogether. The form is at the foot of the listing; a removal request is granted once you have established that you are connected with the business. First reply within three working days. Disputed details are hidden straight away, before anything is settled, rather than left standing.

Rights in the material
The descriptions, category texts and editorial guides were written for this directory. Quoting with a link to the source is fine. Bulk copying of listings, automated harvesting and building derivative directories are not.
Business names, logos and other marks belong to their owners and are used to identify those businesses.
Limitation of liability
The site is provided as is. We are not liable for losses arising from the use of information in the directory, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

These terms may change. The date at the top shows when they last did.
