Nails, hair and massage in Nha Trang: where to go and how to avoid an infection
Nha Trang salons and spas with addresses and hours: Russian-speaking nail technicians, massage until 11 pm, a therapist who comes to your hotel. Plus three questions about sterile tools to ask before you sit down.
Most salons in Nha Trang take walk-ins, and spas in the tourist centre stay open until 10 or 11 pm. For hair in English, go to H&D Hair Lab in the north of the city; for nails with Russian-speaking staff, Crystal Beauty in the Nha Trang Centre mall. Before a manicure, check that the tool pouch is opened in front of you — that matters more than the décor.

How do I know the tools are sterile?
The real risk of a manicure or pedicure is not a smudged finish but an infection from a tool used on someone before you. Watch for three things.
- Files, buffers, orange sticks and pumice are thrown away after each client. A file taken out of a shared box is a shared file.
- Metal tools come in a sealed pouch that is opened in front of you. Tools standing in a jar of liquid are not sterile: the liquid only disinfects.
- Ask whether they have an autoclave or a dry-heat steriliser. It sounds fussy, but the answer tells you more than the interior does.
A technician working without gloves is a reason to get up and leave. If you have cuts, torn cuticles or any inflammation, put the pedicure off.
Should I colour my hair on holiday?
Better not. Bleaching, complex colour and keratin need aftercare, and sun, sea water and pool chlorine strip fresh colour in the first few days.
If you go ahead, bring a photo of what you want and say what you have coloured with before — henna especially, as it often makes dye turn out an unexpected shade. A patch test before colouring is normal; a salon that offers one unprompted knows its job.
What should I tell the massage therapist?
Say it before the session, not during: "nhẹ hơn" is lighter, "mạnh hơn" is firmer. If you are pregnant, have a bad back, high blood pressure, varicose veins or recent surgery, see a doctor before the spa. And if you got sunburnt, skip the oil massage straight after the beach and give your skin a day.
How do I explain what I want without Vietnamese?
Show a photo. For nail shape and hair length a picture beats any words. Five words help too: "cắt tóc" — haircut, "nhuộm tóc" — colour, "làm móng" — manicure, "gội đầu" — hair wash, "massage chân" — foot massage.
Evenings and weekends are busiest, so message ahead on Zalo or WhatsApp — numbers are on each salon's listing.

Sources and checks
Salons and spas in the tables come from the "Beauty salons" section: addresses, hours, phone numbers and messengers are taken from Google Maps, the salons' own sites and pages; sources and dates are on each listing. Languages are listed only where the salon states them itself. Some salons have no hours on the maps — call before you go. The advice on sterile tools, colouring and massage is general, not medical advice. Updated 06.10.2026.
