Hải Vân Pass
A mountain pass on the old road between Da Nang and Huế, about 20 km north of the centre: hairpin bends above the sea and views of Da Nang Bay. At the top, at about 496 m, stands the Hải Vân Quan gate from 1826, a protected monument (Da Nang tourism portal, VinWonders). Driving it after 18:00 isn't advised: the road is dark.
