Frequently asked questions
When does the Dragon Bridge breathe fire
Per Da Nang's tourism portal, the fire and water show starts at 21:00 on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and major holidays. The schedule sometimes changes — the bridge's listing shows which sources the time comes from. Arrive early: the riverfront gets crowded.
What can I see in one day
The Dragon Bridge, the Cham Sculpture Museum, the cathedral and the riverfront are all close together in the centre. The Marble Mountains are south on the road to Hoi An, Sơn Trà is to the north-east, while Ba Na Hills and the Hải Vân Pass are well outside the city and need a half or full day each. The section map shows the distances.
How do I avoid arriving after closing
Listings show hours where official sources give them; at some places the ticket office closes before the gates do. For longer trips — Ba Na Hills or the Marble Mountains — check the place's own website on the day.
