Banks in Nha Trang
Banks in Nha Trang that foreigners use: the branch address, what the bank says about opening an account for a non-resident, and what recent visitors report. Conditions change from year to year and branch to branch, so every fact carries the date it was checked, and where sources disagree we say so instead of smoothing it over. We do not publish exchange rates, fees or charges, and we do not give financial advice — check the terms with the bank before you go.

Frequently asked questions
Can a foreign tourist open a bank account in Vietnam?
There is no single answer. Under State Bank of Vietnam rules (Circular 17/2024/TT-NHNN) a foreigner opens an account with a passport and a visa or a document proving visa exemption; "resident" is defined by the Law on Residence, and in practice many branches ask for a residence card or a visa valid for several months. Vietcombank in Nha Trang does not open an account on a tourist visa — checked by VietGid on 29 September 2026. For other banks, 2025–2026 write-ups disagree: some say a card is issued on an e-visa, others that a residence card is required. Each listing says what is confirmed and when, and leaves the disagreement as it is. Call the branch first.
What documents are usually requested?
A passport with a visa (or proof of visa exemption), often a Vietnamese phone number registered in your name, and proof of where you live. The exact set is up to the branch — ask by phone or messenger before you go.
Do branch staff speak English or Russian?
Mostly Vietnamese; English is more common at larger branches. We state the language of service in a listing only where it is confirmed, otherwise we claim nothing. The form may be given in Vietnamese only — keep a translation app handy.
Where can I withdraw cash with a foreign card?
ATMs of almost all large banks pay out on foreign cards, but limits and fees differ by bank and change. Check the terms on the machine and with your own bank; we do not publish exact amounts because they go out of date.
What are the opening hours of Nha Trang banks?
According to the directory owner (29 September 2026), banks in Nha Trang open 8:00–17:00 with a lunch break from 11:30 to 13:30, and are closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. This is a general rule and has not been checked branch by branch: directories and maps sometimes show other hours, and any disagreement is stated in the listing. Come in the morning, not at lunch, and call before you travel.
Why no fees, rates or rankings of banks?
We check what can be checked: the branch exists and works at that address, and the terms come from dated sources. Fees and rates change, "the best bank" cannot be verified from public sources, and an out-of-date figure is worse than none.
