How do I get along the seafront?

Take VinBus 23. It runs from Ana Marina pier by Bai Tien beach in the north, along Pham Van Dong and Tran Phu through the whole centre to Vinpearl. Stops include 2/4 Square, Hon Chong cape and Bai Tien beach. It runs daily from 7:20 am to 11:15 pm, roughly every 20–30 minutes, so you can ride back after dinner. Stops and live bus positions are in the VinBus app and at maps.vinbus.vn. Hotline: 1900 866 663.

Can I take a bus from the airport?

There are two options. VinBus 16-2 runs every 45 minutes: from the airport 7:00 am–9:15 pm, to the airport 8:30 am–11:00 pm. It leaves from the domestic terminal, at the waiting lane by posts 8–9. In town it runs along Tran Phu, so you can get off near a seafront hotel. Vinpearl and VinWonders guests ride free.

Bus No. 18 leaves from both terminals, timed to arrivals; in town its ticket office and stop are at 10 Yersin, by the stadium. Landing after 9 pm or at night? You'll need Grab or a transfer — see our guide from Cam Ranh airport to Nha Trang.

How do city buses work?

City routes run from about 5–5:30 am until 6–7 pm. The number and end stops are on a sign at the front, in Vietnamese only. Route numbers have changed in recent years, so don't trust old maps: show the driver or conductor the address on your phone. Keep small dong notes — there may be no change for a big one.

In the evening or with luggage, it's easier to book a car in an app; see our guide taxis in Nha Trang.

How do I get to Dalat?

Intercity coaches to Dalat leave from the South bus station (Bến xe phía Nam). Since 1 April 2024 it has been at a new site, where Võ Nguyên Giáp avenue begins, about 8 km west of the centre. The old station on 23/10 street is closed, but many guides and taxi drivers still have it, so give the driver the new address. The trip to Dalat takes about 3.5–4 hours, on sleeper coaches or limousine minivans. Many coach companies also pick up at their own offices in town, so ask exactly where to board when you buy the ticket.

There's no public city-style bus (xe buýt) from Nha Trang to Dalat yet: in August 2026 the province only added such a route to its plan for 2026–2030.

What should I bring?

  • Small dong notes.
  • Your destination address in Vietnamese on your phone — the driver may not speak English.
  • The VinBus app, if you'll be riding along the seafront.

Coach companies and both bus stations are in buses and bus stations. All the ways to get around are in the taxis and transfers and taxi apps sections.
