How far is Cam Ranh airport from Nha Trang?
About 35 kilometres south of the city, roughly 40 to 50 minutes along the coastal road. Worth remembering in the other direction too: leave early for your flight, particularly during the day.
Book a transfer in advance, or take a taxi on arrival?
There are taxi desks in the arrivals hall and you can simply take one. People book ahead for two things: a price agreed before the journey, and someone waiting with a name board — which matters on a night arrival, with children, or with a lot of luggage. Vietnamese, unless stated otherwise. Where a company works in English or Russian and a source confirms it, the listing says so. If language matters to you, agree it when booking: with some operators an English-speaking driver is a paid extra rather than the default.
Why are there no prices in the listings?
A transfer costs different amounts depending on the vehicle, the hour, the season and the direction, and none of it is verifiable from public sources. Ask when you book, and ask for the figure to be confirmed before you get in.
