Massage and spas in Nha Trang: late-night options and how to talk to your therapist
Nha Trang spas with addresses and hours: where you can get a massage until 11 pm, who comes to your hotel, what a Vietnamese head wash is, and what to tell the therapist before you start.
In Nha Trang's tourist centre you can get a massage late into the evening: Chan Spa on Hùng Vương is open until 11 pm, Sứ Spa and Charm Spa Grand until 10:30 pm. Tuyết Spa on Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai is listed on Google Maps as open until 1 am, but another listing says 11:30 pm — call before a late visit. Walk-ins are usually fine, but for evenings and weekends message ahead on Zalo or WhatsApp. If you'd rather stay in, Phượng Spa sends a therapist to your hotel or apartment.

Where can I get a massage late at night?
Most spas sit in the blocks between Trần Phú beach road and Hùng Vương and Nguyễn Thiện Thuật streets. They stay open until 10–11 pm, so a massage after dinner is easy. Tuyết Spa may stay open the longest — until 1 am on Google Maps, but another listing says 11:30 pm, so call before going after 11. Of the spas whose hours agree, Chan Spa closes last, at 11 pm. The last session usually starts an hour before closing, so at 10:30 pm you won't get a full hour.
Can a therapist come to my hotel?
Yes. Phượng Spa only does visits, from 9 am to 11 pm: message or call with your hotel and room number. Before the first booking, ask what kind of massage the therapist does and what they bring. Some hotels only let outside visitors in through reception, so tell the front desk in advance.
Which massage should I choose?
- Body massage — the classic: an hour or an hour and a half, with oil. Good after a long flight.
- Foot massage ("massage chân") — done in a reclining chair, no need to undress. Ideal after a day of walking around town.
- Face massage — often comes with a facial, as at Pure Vietnam and Charm Spa.
- Head wash with massage ("gội đầu dưỡng sinh") — a Vietnamese favourite: your hair is washed while you lie down, with a neck and shoulder massage. Charm Spa does it with herbs.
For mud and hot springs you'll need a trip out of town — see our guide to mud baths in Nha Trang.
What should I tell the therapist?
Say it before you start, not halfway through. Four phrases help: "nhẹ hơn" — softer, "mạnh hơn" — harder, "đau" — that hurts, "không dầu" — no oil. Point to where it hurts and where not to touch. Even if the therapist speaks some English, showing is easier.
When is it better to skip it?
- If you're sunburnt: oil and rubbing on burnt skin make it worse. Give it a couple of days.
- After drinking or right after a big meal.
- If you're pregnant, have back pain, blood pressure problems, varicose veins or recent surgery — ask a doctor first. If you fall ill during your trip, see what to do if you get sick in Nha Trang.
How do I avoid unpleasant surprises?
- Before the session, check how many minutes it lasts and what's included.
- Ask whether the tip is included, so you're not guessing at the end.
- Pick a spa with an address, a sign and messenger contacts, like those above. Touts on the beach road offering to take you to "a good place nearby" are best avoided.
Fewer therapists are free in the evening and at weekends, so message ahead — Zalo and WhatsApp numbers are on each spa's page. All massage places and spas are in the massage and spa section; nails and hairdressers are under beauty salons. For nails and tool hygiene, see nails, haircuts and massage.
